Series 1500 X-ray Tube
Oxford Instrument's series 1500 is a highly popular and proven windowless x-ray tube specifically designed for industrial and medical fluoroscopy as well as bone densitometry applications. The robust electron gun assembly has been constructed for exclusive use in "monoblock" applications where heat dissipation is an issue. This tube features an ultra-high vacuum with the Oxford's unique Pin Flash getter for long life. The tube can be operated positive, negative or bi-polar. Maximum cooling oil temperature not to exceed 85 degrees Celsius Specifications
*Focal spot size rating limited to 1 watt/micron Project Cold Cathode
Oxford Instrument’s Cold Cathode project has been designed specifically for those applications requiring x-ray photons in a portable environment. These applications include portable x-ray fluoroscopy and field portable X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. This unique X-ray tube requires no filament power to supply ample X-ray flux, and unlike other similar projects provides excellent short term stability along with acceptable long term stability. The x-ray tube is available in either an all ceramic model (above) or with a Be window. Specifications
